Calgary Business Portraits – Free Consultation Included

Entrepreneur Headshots for Rudolph Mathias Free Consultation One of the value-added services that I provide to my Calgary portrait clients is that I always review their existing headshots to see how they are being used. During this free consultation I discuss it with the client to see what kind of images they are looking for and how they might be used, and I also look at their LinkedIn, Twitter, and Face accounts, as well as their company website and marketing materials. This helps me to understand where the client is coming from and what they might want to use going forward. This usually gives me the insight I need in order to make some suggestions for the style of portrait, type of lighting, and the background color. For example if I know that all the other employees of a company use tight headshots on a white background I'm probably not going to suggest a full body portrait against a blue backdrop when the client comes into the studio. In fact, I know that my clients time is precious and so in this case I would actually have a white backdrop setup and ready to go before the client arrives so that I can get the portrait session done as quickly as possible. Another thing I come across regularly during my consultations is that different employees in the same organization often have dramatically different headshots. In those cases I always recommend that I bring my portable studio into their office and update all of their portraits at the same time. This is a very convenient process for the organization and it is often faster and easier for everyone involved than for them to come into my [...]

Calgary Business Portraits when You need them…

Al Jones, Calgary Business Owner We work when we need to... I received a call on Saturday afternoon from a new client wondering if I work on the weekend or not. He wanted a new headshot made as soon as possible and didn't want to wait for normal business hours to get it done. Part of being a custom portrait photographer means that I work when my clients need me to work. As long as I have no prior commitments then my hours are very flexible and I can usually accommodate my clients to get their work done when they need it done. I was able to get Al into my home studio on Saturday evening and had his final retouched portrait out to him in less than 24 hours from when he first contacted me. You can actually use my online booking tool to find a time that works for you. If you don't see what you need in the available hours, or if you really need something done on very short notice then you can always call me at 403-615-3708 and we can chat about what you need and make a plan to get it done. Al Jones | Better Business Portrait The image above is a business headshot I created for Al Jones (owner of a custom Dental Laboratory in Calgary) for use on his business cards, brochures, and other marketing materials.

Style Guides for Business Portraits

DeVera Parkinson came into my studio to get a new business portrait for use on her employer's website. The employer had a style guide that they provided in order to ensure a relatively standard look for all of the images on the site.
